To mark the 50th anniversary of Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV), the annual conference of International Volunteer Cooperation Organisations (IVCO) was held in Japan from 4th to 7th October 2015. Its organiser, The International Forum for Volunteering in Development (Forum) is a global network of IVCO.
Three speakers explained JOCA's projects
On 7th October, JOCA showcased its activities and projects, such as assistance to the JOCV programme, education for international understanding, recovery assistance in the Great East Japan Earthquake affected area, and bi-directional international volunteer programme with African Union Commission (AUC) that were conducted to utilise expertise of the returned JOCVs.

During Q&A session, questions on budget and support programme for returning volunteers were raised to the speakers. The session was closed with the good responses from the audience.
At the same slot, Scope Global (Australia) and Peace Corps. (the United States) shared their practices of returned volunteers as alumni in their presentations.
