JENESYS2015
Japan Overseas Cooperative Association (JOCA) is in charge of the operations to invite foreign youths to Japan under the JENESYS 2015 for Pacific Islands.
JENESYS2015 is a people-to-people exchange programme between Japan and the Asia-Pacific region, launched by the government of Japan. Under this program, approximately 3,100 people from the Asia-Pacific region will be invited to Japan, while approximately 600 Japanese people will be sent to the region during F.Y. 2015.

OBJECTIVES
To promote mutual trust and understanding among the peoples of Japan and the Asia-Pacific region, and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation.
To promote a global understanding of Japan’s society, history, diverse culture, politics, and diplomatic relations.
PROGRAMS
Inbound from Asia-Pacific region
Participants: Mainly students (high school / university / graduate) Duration: Approximately 10 days
Contents
- Attending lectures about Japanese society, history, culture, politics and diplomatic relations to promote a better understanding of Japan.
- Visiting educational sites and institutions, high-tech and traditional industries, world heritage sites, provincial government office; and participating in cross-cultural events, workshops, and discussions with local people.
- Participating in hands-on learning experience such as home-stays or home-visits, and cultural arts events.
